Ginkgo biloba shows potential for ADHD
We explored the effectiveness of Ginkgo biloba as an add-on therapy for ADHD in a six-week trial involving children and adolescents. Participants received a standard medication along with either Ginkgo or a placebo.

According to parent and teacher evaluations, those receiving Ginkgo showed significant improvements in attention and overall ADHD symptoms compared to those on placebo.

These findings suggest that Ginkgo biloba may provide valuable support for managing ADHD symptoms, warranting further investigation with extended treatment periods.

We explored whether Ginkgo biloba extract, known as EGb 761®, could serve as an alternative treatment for children with ADHD. Over a period of 3 to 5 weeks, 20 children received doses of up to 240 mg daily, with careful monitoring for side effects and effectiveness.

While we noticed some improvements in quality of life, ADHD symptoms, and performance on a cognitive test, the results are preliminary. The low rate of mild side effects is encouraging, but we still need more comprehensive studies to draw firm conclusions about its effectiveness.

Ginkgo biloba shows potential for ADD
We examined Ginkgo biloba as a potential herbal treatment for attention-deficit disorder (ADD). In a small study involving six psychiatric outpatients, we rated the patients' conditions both before and during Ginkgo biloba treatment. Remarkably, we noticed significant improvements in their overall behavior, particularly in areas like hyperactivity and inattention. This preliminary research suggests that Ginkgo biloba could be a helpful option for those facing ADD, showing minimal side effects.

I use this product to complement my ADHD medicines, and it works remarkably well. It smooths out the peaks and mitigates the less desirable side effects of combining coffee with Dexamfetamine. Additionally, I pair the Ginkgo with a quality cordyceps mushroom for endurance workouts.

Herbal treatments show limited effectiveness
We explored the potential of plant-based treatments for ADHD, particularly focusing on ginkgo biloba among other herbal remedies. This study reviewed various research from both human and animal trials.

Notably, findings revealed that while ginkgo biloba showed some improvements in attention and memory, its overall effectiveness was not strong enough to support widespread use. Despite promising results from other plants studied, the evidence remains limited and further investigation is necessary to fully understand their benefits.

YY162 shows promise for ADHD
We explored the potential of YY162, a combination of Ginkgo biloba and ginsenoside Rg3, to alleviate ADHD-like symptoms caused by Aroclor1254 exposure. In our study, YY162 was able to significantly reduce oxidative stress and improve BDNF levels in lab mice, showing effects similar to those of methylphenidate, the common ADHD medication. The results suggest that YY162 may offer a safer alternative for ADHD treatment with fewer behavioral side effects, leveraging important neurotransmitter signaling pathways.
