Things got worse, as our “good” bacteria that fight invaders were …
My wife and I were exposed to mold growth for a long period completely unaware of it. A plumber apparently forgot to seal the joint between bathtub wall panels and the top edge of tub before putting quarter round tile in pace to cover this unsealed joint. The sheetrock walls below the tub were not visible and became a paradise for growth. After nauseating Dizziness symptoms began, we started the search that ended with the sheetrock walls opposite the tub walls being ripped out to access and replace all affected sheetrock. The entire house had all exposed surfaces sprayed with concrobium, and the bathroom was done multiple times. After replacing sheetrock, air handler plenum wallboard, and every ac duct, we realized our bodies, busy fighting the mycotoxin and spore components of this mess, had a huge overgrowth of Candida Albicans yeast throughout our bodies. The ENT, allergists, and infectious disease specialist (all in denial) were in agreement that antibiotics had to be exhausted as "required by our insurance" before the symptoms would clear. Things got worse, as our "good" bacteria that fight invaders were wiped out by this unnecessary regimen of antibiotics. We finally beat these critters by swallowing little frozen chunks of raw garlic every two hours of wake time, and a dose of milk thistle AT bedtime to detox our liver. As "die-off" symptoms began and our symptoms intensified, we ordered the NAC pills and found moderate but much appreciated relief from die-off symptoms. NOTE to readers: get prepared for major push-back when you say the word MOLD to a physician. You will be treated like you said "bomb" on a plane or "fire" in a theatre. You will likely be sent to an ENT when you mention Dizziness (then allergist, cardiologist, neurologist, and rheumatologist- likely in that order). To save yourself some copayments, insist that your ENT take a culture sample from your nose (prepare for pushback as this will result in information that will reduce the treatments and office vi$it$), and WHEN ENT refuses, ask for a referral to another ENT that will take a sample. ENT will reluctantly take sample- insist on a copy of lab report
