Methyl B12 nuggets have been recommended to me by my GP in Sydney and are far superior to the messy and costly oral spray I previously used. We conducted a cross-sectional study with 130 type-2 diabetic patients to explore the connection between diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPN) and various micronutrients. Using a well-defined screening tool, we identified 28 patients with DPN.

Our results showed a significant association between DPN and both zinc and vitamin B12 levels. However, there was no significant correlation with copper or magnesium levels. This suggests that while zinc and vitamin B12 may play a role in neuropathy among diabetic patients, other micronutrients do not appear to have the same impact.
