Federica Sbrocca received a "Laurea cum laude" degree in Biological Sciences from Università Statale di Milano, with a thesis in Human Genetics. Afterwards, she worked at the Molecular Genetics Laboratory of Istituti Clinici di Perfezionamento, Milan, focusing on the molecular analysis of Thalassemic Syndromes and Hereditary Haemoglobinopathies. She decided to switch to Clinical Studies working as Clinical Research Scientist at SmithKline Beecham. In 2005 Federica Sbrocca started to work as Medical Writer.
