Doaa A. Ghareeb is a professor of clinical biochemistry at the Faculty of Science, Alexandria University. She is the former Acting Dean of Pharmaceutical and Fermentation Industries Development Centre at the City of Scientific Research and Technological Applications and the Manager of Biological Screening and Preclinical Trial Lab at the Department of Biochemistry, Faculty of Science, Alexandria University. Dr. Ghareeb is a member of the National Committee of Women in Science at the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology (ASRT) in Egypt. She is the co-founder and director of the Drug Preclinical Studies Center of Excellence and among the founding members of the Egyptian Association for Cancer Research. Dr. Ghareeb began her academic journey as a demonstrator in the Biochemistry Department at the Faculty of Science, Alexandria University in 1999. She obtained her Ph.D. in Medical Biotechnology in 2007 and has since been actively involved in research and academic endeavors.
