Product great. Seller misleading in their description though

Life Extension products although a little pricey are very good vitamins. I however am not very happy with the seller as on the description label it shows a bottle of 60 and 1 tablet is considered the daily dose which was the amount my husband needed to take. I thought I was buying a two month supply. When I get the bottle it looks just like the picture except on the back of the label it states 2 capsules are considered the daily dose and he will have to take two a day so this is actually a one month supply. Upsetting as my husband takes a lot of supplements as he is fighting cancer and one less pill would be better as these pills are large. Also, thought I was buying double the product than I actually was. Seems like false advertising but it might just be that the label picture didn't get updated. At least I know this is a quality brand

Severe allergic reaction, please be careful if taking these!

These vitamin pills just landed me in urgent care today with a severe allergic reaction! I took my first dose yesterday and within a hour felt a little short of breath, but it passed and I blamed it on the heat. Today within thirty minutes of taking my second dose, I broke out in hives, vomited, and had trouble breathing. I brought the bottle with me, and the doctor there told me she thought it was probably the niacin, and that there were â€˜frankly irresponsible levels' of it and she would never recommend such high dosages of any if these vitamins listed to anyone. I've never had any kind of reaction to vitamins or supplements before, so this definitely spooked me. I'm going to be a lot more careful now when purchasing vitamins or supplements online

Disappointed

I'm sooo disappointed in this product! I just received it today and the amounts of ingredients on the bottle are completely different. Life Extension has obviously changed the formula. Too bad. It was great before it changed. Now it has half as much methylfolate, and triple the amount of B12 (too much, especially in proportion to methylfolate). The other ingredient amounts changed too. If it isn't broken, don't fix it. This WAS my go-to B-complex

Eeek on the Niacin flush

Prior to switching from the Amazon chewable B12 to this I should've read the reviews a little more in depth than just the stars. The first 2 days I took this with food and everything was fine. Today I took it on an empty stomach, didn't think anything of it. Within 10 min, BOOM. I thought I was having an allergic reaction! It started with just feeling like something wasn't right and within seconds my face was flushing and swelling. The flushing spread through my arms, torso and upper thighs. My face continued to swell along with my arms and hands and my lips went numb. I called the doctor and I took a Benadryl which is doing the trick. My doctor said it sounded like a niacin reaction and said it's common. When I shared what the level of niacin is in this my doctor said is way too much. Clearly haha! I don't want to show my swollen face in pics but I can assure you the level of red on my chest was the same as my face. Needless to say, I won't be taking this anymore. I guess I'll never truly know if this was a niacin “flush” vs an allergic reaction since the symptoms are identical. Why 4 stars? With all of that said, it did do what a vitamin B complex should do- I had so much energy! The pills are capsules and large. I didn't notice a taste but they do have a slight odor to them. However, I'm not going to continue taking it due to my reaction to it

Be Careful! My experience with these…

Warning - at the very least, do NOT start out with the recommended two capsules and definitely not on an empty stomach. I have taken many different B complexes over the years, and two pills gave me a SEVERE reaction that was well beyond any normal niacin flushing. I suppose it was just the niacin, but it was so extreme that I was worried I was experiencing anaphylaxis for the first time in my life. I was so spooked that I called for an ambulance thinking that I would need an EpiPen shot if it kept progressing. Whole body turned incredibly red, elevated blood pressure, swelling of throat and tongue, itching all over... it was crazy and very intense. I ended up munching two benadryls and chugging water and it subsided in an about an hour. But it was scary. I've taken many Life Extension supplements and believe them to be a great brand... but something is off in these pills. I suspect they contain much more niacin than intended. I have never felt the need to write an Amazon review before now, but wanted to warn others. Be careful with this product

Very good vitamins

I have had itchy skin for a long time and looked for something that might be causing it. Since nerves can sometimes cause this I tried a B complex which mu parents years ago told me to take. So I ordered these and within 24 hours felt relief. Great stuff

Been using Life Extension products for years.B Complex was a good bargain at Amazon. It has the 11 Bs ( Most other brands have 8 ). Life Extension gaves you best form that the cells recognize . It is good for your CV,NS,skin,and help metabolize Carbs-Lipids-Proteins

Potency

Potency of this product is almost 3 times the amount of other b complexes. The B12 is extremely high. I broke out in a rash/hives that started itching on my hands, my ears turned hot and burned then my face, my chest, my arms back and front. The heat was so bad I had to put ice packs on the rash which was bright red. I also had to use cortisone cream. I couldn't use Benadryl bc I had to go to work. This vitamin is dangerous. The manufacturer knows this will happen since it's a disclaimer on the label and here on Amazon. To what extent each person will have could be mild or as severe as anaphylactic. STOP SELLING THIS!!

The best designed B Complex I know of

I like that all the forms are the ideal forms, like b12 as methy instead of cyanocobalamin, and that the B6 is a mixture of p-5-p and pyridoxine hydrochloride. Also, that it's split between two doses, so I don't have to take one huge dose to upset my stomach

Excellent

I definitely feel the effects of these B vitamins and take 1 in the morning on an empty stomach before my workouts. I believe the dose is 2 capsules and I have taken 2 at a time, but sometimes feel the niacin side effects which I've read occur when the body has toxins. I take that with a grain of salt since the info came from the internet, although I have no idea why sometimes I do react to the niacin and sometimes don't
