Best magnesium I have tried! It tastes just fine. I have a problem with magnesium absorption and take at least 1600mg daily, including about 400mg transdermal. I’ve tried many types, including ReMag, which caused diarrhoea at the high doses I require. MegaMag is decent, but I worry about lead, arsenic and mercury at those doses. This magnesium does not cause diarrhoea, and unlike some reviewers, I find the taste quite acceptable. I take a couple of scoops in water with sea salt and potassium three times a day and I'm very satisfied!

In our study, we found that increasing levels of magnesium can significantly inhibit chloride secretion in intestinal cells, which is crucial during episodes of diarrhea.
We observed that magnesium, at concentrations typically seen in stool, reduced this secretory process by a remarkable 65%. This effect primarily occurs through a specific receptor in the intestinal cells known as the calcium-sensing receptor (CaSR). Interestingly, we noted that magnesium also counteracted Cl- secretion triggered by cholera toxin and other enterotoxins by about 50%.
Using mouse models, we saw that administering magnesium effectively decreased fluid loss associated with cholera by 40%. In a model mimicking the intestinal environment during cholera, adding magnesium not only curbed fluid secretion but also reversed it, promoting absorption instead. By measuring the viability of human Peripheral Blood Mononuclear Cells and observing the response of isolated Blastocystis cysts to various concentrations of the herbal extracts, we aimed to uncover their anti-parasitic properties. Our results revealed that oregano extract at higher doses exhibited impressive effectiveness, achieving up to 100% efficacy after 72 hours, which was comparable to a standard drug used for treatment.
In contrast, while Foeniculum vulgare also showed some benefit, its efficacy was noticeably lower, reaching just 70.7% after the same duration. Our research involved human gut microbiota-associated IL-10 mice, which were given AC or a placebo starting a week before they were infected with Campylobacter. By day six after the infection, we found that while the bacteria levels in the gut were similar in both groups, the symptoms commonly seen in campylobacteriosis, such as weight loss and bloody diarrhea, were noticeably reduced in the AC-treated mice.
The activated charcoal appeared to have protective effects. We noted that the mice given AC experienced less colonic cell damage and showed more stable immune responses during the infection. Importantly, we also measured lower levels of inflammatory markers in the colons of the AC-treated mice, indicating a milder immune reaction. Although the fecal microbiota shifted in response to the infection, these changes occurred independently of the AC treatment.
Overall, our findings suggest that taking activated charcoal before exposure to Campylobacter could help mitigate acute symptoms of the infection. This supports the idea that non-toxic compounds like AC might offer a beneficial, antibiotic-free approach to managing diarrhea during such infections.

In our study, the mice were given a substance that induces colitis, known as dextran sulfate sodium (DSS), and then treated with different doses of 5,6-DiHETE orally.
What we found was promising: the administration of both 150 and 600 micrograms of 5,6-DiHETE daily helped to speed up the recovery from diarrhea. After just a few days of treatment, we observed significant improvements in the mice’s condition. The daily doses led to less inflammation in the colon and a notable reduction in the symptoms of diarrhea associated with DSS-induced colitis.
We also measured how much of this compound remained in the mice's blood after taking it, finding that it peaked within half an hour of administration. This suggests that 5,6-DiHETE works relatively quickly to start affecting the inflammation. Overall, our research indicates that eicosapentaenoic acid holds potential as a beneficial treatment for inflammatory bowel diseases that cause diarrhea.

Recommended for mega ease of opening the container, and there's no burden on the stomach when you drink. The time-release formulation contains a 1000mg combination that works well. I took one tablet at an hourly rate, and thankfully, I didn't experience any stomach aches or diarrhoea. Vitamin D₃supplementation and childhood diarrhea: a randomized controlled trial.
We conducted a thorough investigation into how vitamin D3 supplementation affects diarrhea in young children. The study involved 3,046 infants aged 1 to 11 months living in high-risk areas of Kabul, Afghanistan. They were randomly assigned to receive either six doses of vitamin D3 or a placebo over 18 months.
Our analysis measured instances of diarrhea, defined as having three or more loose stools in a single day. We focused on comparing the time to the first diarrhea episode and the risk of recurring episodes between both groups.
However, the results were quite clear: vitamin D3 supplementation did not lead to any significant reduction in the time before the first episode of diarrhea or in the likelihood of having recurrent diarrhea. The differences observed between the vitamin D3 group and the placebo group were not meaningful.
Despite our expectations, this study suggests that vitamin D3 supplementation doesn't provide the preventive benefits we were hoping for when it comes to diarrhea in this population. We recommend against using similar supplementation under comparable circumstances without further research.
Additional studies in other settings might help in understanding if vitamin D3 could play a beneficial role in preventing diarrhea elsewhere.

The chocolate flavour is delightful. I experience daily diarrhoea even with milk, making this product beneficial in alleviating that issue. As I began using it, I've also increased my exercise, and it's encouraging to see my muscles developing gradually. I initially bought it after seeing a video recommendation, and I'm quite satisfied; I'd suggest starting with a smaller amount and increasing if happy.
