We investigated whether stanol lecithin could effectively reduce LDL-cholesterol levels. The study involved 52 participants in a double-blind, placebo-controlled trial.

After six weeks, those taking the fast-dissolving lecithin tablets saw a significant reduction in LDL-cholesterol by 10.4% and a decrease in the LDL to HDL-cholesterol ratio by 11.5%.

However, participants consuming slowly dissolving capsules did not show any notable changes. This suggests that for optimal cholesterol reduction, lecithin must be quickly absorbed in the body.

L. extract impacts cholesterol metabolism
We explored the impact of extruded L. extract on cholesterol levels in rats consuming a high-cholesterol diet. In a study with three groups of Sprague-Dawley rats, one group received the high-cholesterol diet supplemented with L. extract for four weeks.

The results show that the extract positively influenced lipid profiles in the serum and liver while enhancing gene expressions linked to cholesterol management. Improvements were noted in key physiological processes such as cholesterol efflux and bile acid synthesis.

However, while the study demonstrated some effects on cholesterol metabolism, it remains specific to this animal model and may not predict outcomes in humans.

Benefits of soy lecithin for cholesterol
We investigated how fat-free foods enhanced with soy stanol-lecithin could impact cholesterol levels. Through a systematic approach that included single-meal tests and a 10-week double-blind trial, we aimed to measure cholesterol absorption.

In our findings, participants who consumed the soy stanols experienced a noticeable reduction in LDL cholesterol levels. This suggests that including soy stanol-lecithin in the diet can be an effective strategy for lowering cholesterol absorption and improving heart health.

I appreciate that this lecithin is not soy-based. The large tablets can be swallowed easily with water, though my 10-year-old son struggles. Since using it, I felt energised and noticed a reduction in my cholesterol levels. I would recommend it 100%.

Lecithin oil effectively lowers cholesterol
We investigated how a unique structured oil rich in monoacylglycerides (MAG) and diacylglycerides (DAG) affects cholesterol levels in mice.

Over seven weeks, mice fed a high-fat diet mixed with this oil showed significant drops in total cholesterol levels, alongside improved triglyceride levels and higher good cholesterol ratios.

The oil also demonstrated antioxidant properties and reduced liver inflammation. Overall, the study suggests that MAG-enriched oils can positively influence cholesterol management and offer potential health benefits.

Effective against high cholesterol
We examined the effects of purple perilla frutescens extract, particularly its component α-asarone, on high cholesterol in apoE-deficient mice, a model for atherosclerosis.

Over ten weeks, these mice received a high cholesterol diet alongside the extract.

We observed that α-asarone not only reduced harmful cholesterol levels but also improved beneficial HDL cholesterol. Furthermore, it inhibited the formation of inflammatory atheromas, signaling potential benefits for managing cholesterol-related issues.

Purchased out of concern for arterial blockage. My doctor suggested I raise my HDL to clean plaque. After a year on lecithin, my LDL was 133, and HDL was 80, which was shocking. I believe taking it will help remove plaque in my arteries.

The product is indeed substantial and not easy to swallow, but there is no unpleasant taste. I take it with fish oil to effectively reduce my cholesterol and triglycerides, plus it nourishes the brain. The sunflower extract has many benefits, and although it is large, the dosage is sufficient. I will certainly purchase it again.

I am not a doctor and cannot comment extensively on how beneficial lecithin is. I can only share my experience: my cholesterol levels were poor, and after a course with omega 3 and vitamin D3, my energy for sports increased, and my cholesterol dropped. I recommend it wholeheartedly.

Convenient for men

The best lecithin! Sunflower lecithin is preferable for men. It works well combined with omega. It effectively helps to lower cholesterol; previously, my husband used silymarin for this purpose. Capsules are certainly more convenient for adults compared to mixing powder, which has a very distinct taste.

Functional olive oil improves cholesterol
Our research aimed to find out if special olive oils enriched with phenolic compounds can enhance HDL, the "good" cholesterol, in people with high cholesterol levels. In a study with 33 participants, they consumed different types of olive oils for three weeks.

We discovered that those who had the functional olive oil with thyme showed a notable improvement in HDL levels and its beneficial properties compared to a standard virgin olive oil. This suggests that using certain olive oils might be a valuable addition to tackling high cholesterol and reducing cardiovascular risk.
