Fast recovery and immune booster but with an issue on update

Amazing immune booster. I had a cold/virus/ sinus/ear infection. I began to use this day 3 and it began to clear up immediately and within a shorter time than ever before. Normally my family contracts it then and they used it as a preventative and it absolutely worked this time. No one else got it. It's a once a year winter occurrence for me and now that I know about this I will take it next year as a preventative measure to avoid it completely. My job has me in contact with hundreds of people daily so this will be a new added immunity measure. Highly recommend. Absolutely works! Update as I got further down in the bottle I found some other unfamiliar tablets inside. This scared me. I don't know why this happened but clearly it affected the weight of the contents by making it heavier and so I clearly did not receive the correct amount I purchased

It Works for Me!

I have read numerous articles on the benefits of Black Elderberry on the immune system. I began taking this product for the very first time back in the early fall. For the VERY first time in 33 years of public education, I did not develop one single cold, sniffle, sinus infection, flu, bronchitis, upper respiratory infection, etc. I seriously can not believe it. Could be luck, could be many things, but I choose to believe that adding Black Elderberry to my daily routine has helped to keep me healthy

UH MUH GUH

Sicily, 1926, the village was Catholic and values and respect were taught with an iron fist.... (drift away with me). I came to this land and in need of healing, I accepted one of their remedies ... Elderberry. I took the pill and it was so pleasant... soon enough, the village quiet had taken me away into a deep sleep. That was UNTIL, a strange warmth-coolness enveloped my hand. I immediately began awaking from my vintage Sicilian slumber puzzled with confusion taking over as I brought my hand towards my awaking face and a smell took over. There was 'MATTER' all over my hand.... I was suddenly very very awake and VERY VERY NOT in Sicily anymore. I reached for the light with my clean hand and I was HORRIFIED. But then another horror took over... there was some strange sensation shooting down my legs...... I immediately realize I am destroying myself, my bed and I am NOT in control of my own body. I wasn't pushing, I wasn't.. I WASN'T... but there it was... like a scene from the Exorcist.... jetting out of me. I began clawing at sheets to scoop around me to build an adult diaper so I could... WADDLE my 48 year old ass to the bathroom in SHAME and disgust and let me again say this.. utter HORROR that I was uncontrollably jetting a fountain of the devil's work out of my backside. As I squatted there in my shower in complete humiliation, taking a shower fit for a whore, I had to realize that the second review o this product should have been listened to. This came without warning. There was no grumbling, no ache, no... gas.... it was just sudden and well..... there I was.... squatting over a pile of high thread count sheets covered on elderberry induced filth that took me away from my Golden Girls Sicilian sleep..... By all means, you too can ignore this... and dare these little pills.... but for what it is worth... I intentionally took this at home in case the second review was truthful, I would be home to go to the bathroom. I just assumed it would have came with enough warning to wake me prior to rewriting the rules to an emotional breakdown

Maybe the first “Snake Oil” that has proven its mettle in clinical trials.

Numerous clinical trials have been run in the US and abroad that clearly demonstrate the effectiveness of Elderberry as an antiviral (proven effective against Influenza A and B, as well as H1N1) treatment. The research is impressive. An article published in 2004 showed that 93% of flu patients in a small (60 patients) study treated with Elderberry where symptom-free in two days versus 6 days for those who received the placebo. It was a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study conducted during the flu season of 1999-2000. Article's have been published in the Journal of Medicinal Food, the Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine, the Journal of International Medical Research, and Phytochemistry to name a few. One study in particular showed Sambucol Elderberry helps activate healthy immune systems and they believe it may help patients with various diseases (including AIDS and cancer patients) where the immune system is compromised and slow to activate the body's natural inflammatory process. So, it may even be immunoprotective or immunostimulatory when used concurrently with treatments for patients who are immunocompromised. Study results are forthcoming. Snake oil? It is a product that I trust and use with confidence.

I never took antibiotics in my life, because it affect adversely bacterial/fungal balance in the intestine creating a chain of reactions, promoting chronic infections, and then opening the back door for more medical conditions starting in molecular level. So I use a Mediterranean diet, and take supplements to restore any deficiencies in my body, support the immune system and more. Black Elderberry is just a small part of antifungals that I use to prevent infections. I use a combination of: Oregano Oil, Pau D'arco, Garlic, Caprilic Acid, Olive Leaf Extract, Black Elderberry and more. Dealing with supplements it is an art. You need a professional to advise you, and unfortunately the market is unregulated. Nature's Way Black Elderberry Capsules are a product that I'm using for 6 months, taking 2 capsules 2 times per day, and I didn't got sick, no matter that 2 family members got a bad flu, and it took them more then 3 weeks to get some relief. Now I'm a believer!

We used to catch EVERY SINGLE COLD that came along. Flu, strep, sinus infections, you name it. Every month or two, one of our family was sick with something. We've been buying and taking this for over a year now, and have only had a mild cold. Knock on wood. We start taking it at the first symptoms and take it till the symptoms are gone. Tastes a little "herby" but I will take that over the flu any day!!

I swear by elderberry! I started taking this at the beginning of the year when a friend told me about it because I came down with influenza B. I primed it and started taking it as soon as it arrived and was feeling back to myself in no time. Now I take it regularly to keep myself regulated and my immune system to par. As a teacher I have no time to be sick and thankfully I have not! Even with a common cold I seem to be hit for less time than those around me. Wise buy

Entire winter without a cold or the flu

I just went through the first winter, for as long as I can remember, in which I did not have a cold or the flu. I typically get hit with at least one cold or a bout of the flu each winter, but this past winter was the first one during which I took these Elderberry capsules and I did not get hit with either a cold or the flu. I felt a cold coming on at least 6 or 7 times, but in each case it never took hold & I dodged a bullet. I want to note that I did NOT get a flu shot. Considering that I'm 62 years old and also had received external beam radiation treatments for prostate cancer about 11 years ago, I have to presume that my immune system is probably not particularly robust; yet in spite of all that I experienced an entire winter without a cold or flu. Is it because of these Elderberry capsules? I'm thinking maybe it is. I'm curious to see if next winter turns out the same - if it does, then I'll be even more convinced

great for the immune system

I take one a day and NEVER get sick. Amazing because I have ALWAYS caught everything that came along and when I catch a cold, it is a one month ordeal where I cough continuously. I had whooping cough a few years ago, before I discovered elderberry, and coughed for five months and developed pleurisy which is extremely painful. I told a friend my problem with my immune system and she said I needed elderberry capsules so I started taking one per day. After a year or so, I told her that was the best advice I had ever received and I take one a day without failure. She said, No, you are only supposed to take them when you feel a cold coming on. But this works for me so I continue with one a day...I may be on Medicare, but I do not want to be sick

it works, and there's science to back it up!

Take this daily in the winter for cold prevention, works fabulously! For those that don't know, both elderberry and echinacea have a compound in them that actually inhibits the enzyme that viruses secrete to break down the cell wall, where they then get into the cell and make it a virus reproducing factory. How cool is that? However echinacea actually stimulates a response from the immune system, basically tricks it into thinking there's a invader present so the system will respond as if there's an infection present. Which is good if you have a cold, or feel one coming on! But it should NOT be taken daily for that reason! Elderberry has the same compound but does not stimulate a response from your immune system, so it is good to take every day :) I recommend it! I tend to be prone to getting sick from others.. not while taking this! If I DO catch a cold, I take concentrated elderberry syrup as well as echinacea- kicks its butt
