Probiotic improves IBS-C symptoms
We examined the effects of Lacticaseibacillus rhamnosus IDCC 3201 on patients suffering from irritable bowel syndrome with constipation (IBS-C). In a robust study involving 30 participants, we used a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled design.

After eight weeks of treatment, the probiotic group reported significant improvements in bowel activities and discomfort linked to constipation. Notably, symptoms like abdominal bloating also improved.

Our findings suggest that this probiotic might help enhance gut health by promoting beneficial microbes and their metabolites.

BLa80 shows promise for constipation
We explored the impact of Bifidobacterium lactis BLa80 on constipation using mice that were induced with functional constipation through loperamide treatment. In our study, we compared BLa80 to a blank group and a positive control.

The results indicated that BLa80 improved intestinal movement, increased fecal moisture, and balanced gut bacteria. It also helped regulate important gut hormones. Overall, BLa80 shows promise as a potential new option for relieving constipation in functional foods.

Bifidobacterium lactis alleviates constipation
We investigated the effects of Bifidobacterium lactis subsp. TG11 on loperamide-induced constipation in mice. The mice were grouped into control and treatment categories, receiving different doses of the probiotic.

After treatment, those receiving TG11 showed improved intestinal motility and maintained better fecal water content. Notably, the probiotic also positively affected gut microbiota, increasing beneficial bacteria and promoting short-chain fatty acid production.

Overall, Bifidobacterium lactis TG11 appears effective in alleviating constipation, potentially by enhancing gut health.

CCFM1163 probiotic alleviates constipation
We explored the potential of the probiotic CCFM1163 to alleviate slow-transit constipation caused by prolonged laxative use, known as cathartic colon. Using a mouse model, we observed how this probiotic affects the gut's nerve and barrier functions.

The findings revealed that CCFM1163 enhances the expression of brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF), which activates a key signaling pathway, helping to restore gut health. As a result, it significantly improved intestinal function, offering hope for those suffering from this condition.

Probiotics effectively relieve constipation
We explored how specific microbial agents can change the gut bacteria and help relieve constipation in mice. The study focused on two treatments, including Lactobacillus, and found they increased beneficial gut bacteria and improved peristalsis, which is the movement that helps waste pass through the intestines.

Notably, one agent, PE0401, showed a better ability to alleviate constipation symptoms by enhancing gut health and reducing inflammation. The results suggest that probiotics can play a positive role in managing constipation.

Lactobacillus reduces constipation symptoms
We explored the effects of a fermented milk product containing two specific probiotic strains, Lacticaseibacillus paracasei JY062 and Lactobacillus gasseri JM1, on relieving constipation in mice.

Over 14 days, we found that this probiotic mix enhanced gastrointestinal function by boosting the secretion of important gut hormones and increasing beneficial bacteria while reducing harmful ones.

Our findings suggest this fermented milk could be a useful approach to managing constipation and improving gut health.

Lactobacillus rhamnosus reduces constipation
We investigated the effects of Lactobacillus rhamnosus (LRJ-1) on constipation in mice. The study revealed that oral treatment with LRJ-1 led to significant improvements in constipation by increasing levels of a gut compound called γ-aminobutyric acid (GABA).

We also found that the beneficial impact of LRJ-1 was linked to the growth of specific intestinal bacteria and the activation of certain nerve pathways in the gut. While these findings are promising, they confirm the potential of LRJ-1 in addressing constipation through its influence on gut health.

For me, this is the best probiotic. I have tried numerous supplements over the years, and none compare to this. It has various strains of beneficial bacteria, stays stable at room temperature, and most importantly, it works. My digestion has improved, and I no longer suffer from constipation. I firmly believe everyone should take a quality probiotic, and I highly recommend this brand. If it doesn't help you, try another with different strains. This one is a great starting point, and Jarrow is a reputable manufacturer.

We examined how lactobacillus, a type of beneficial bacteria, might help alleviate constipation and other digestive system issues. The review of existing research presented evidence that lactobacillus works through several mechanisms, like producing helpful metabolites and improving gut microbiome balance.

Although it showed potential to aid with constipation, it is important to note that its effectiveness can vary based on the specific strain used. There is still more research needed to fully understand its benefits for other digestive problems, but we see promise in its role as a supporting treatment option.
We conducted a dose-escalation study to explore how Lactococcus lactis affects constipation in healthy adults. Twenty-seven participants took either a placebo or two different doses of the supplement over two weeks.

At a dose of 2 × 10 cfu, we saw a notable increase in how often participants had bowel movements each week. Additionally, a lower dose of 1 × 10 cfu resulted in larger stool volumes.

Overall, our findings indicate that Lactococcus lactis can effectively improve defecation, particularly with consistent intake.

Probiotics may help reduce constipation
We examined the potential of probiotics, particularly bifidobacterium lactis, in alleviating chronic constipation symptoms. Through a systematic review and analysis of randomized controlled trials, we found that certain probiotics might enhance treatment responses and stool frequency. However, the evidence for the effectiveness of synbiotics remains insufficient.

It's important to note that results vary widely among studies, and there's a significant risk of bias, so we should interpret these findings carefully.
