Vitamin B12 may aid menopause relief
We observed the effects of a nutritional product that combined various ingredients, including vitamin B12, on menopausal symptoms. This study involved 156 menopausal women who took the product daily for 12 weeks and reported their symptoms using a validated scale.

After completing the study, we found significant reductions in various menopause-related issues. This included a substantial 45% decrease in depressive mood and a notable reduction of 48% in hot flashes. It's important to note that while vitamin B12 was included in the treatment, it was part of a broader combination with other beneficial ingredients.

However, we must clarify that the specific impact of vitamin B12 alone cannot be fully determined from this study. The results are promising for the product as a whole, showing effective relief from many menopausal symptoms, but further research is needed to isolate the role of vitamin B12 in managing these symptoms.

A very good product! I had been feeling quite anemic for a long time, relying on regular vitamin B12 (Natures own brand) to keep me afloat. I switched to these due to information I found online about active B12. I had been experiencing very dry and aged skin; as a beauty therapist, I couldn't understand how I'd aged so much in just a year. Despite using various creams, I struggled to retain moisture. At 36, I thought I might be going through menopause early. However, after just two days on this supplement, my skin regained its normal glow, fine lines vanished, and it looked like it used to. I absolutely love this product, and it tastes delightful!

Vitamin B6 supports menopause relief
Our exploration involved a study assessing the effectiveness of a nutritional product that includes vitamin B6 among other ingredients, targeted at relieving menopausal symptoms. We engaged 156 menopausal women who took the product daily for 12 weeks, while tracking their experiences using a validated Menopausal Rating Score (MRS).

The findings were promising! Participants reported a significant reduction in various menopausal symptoms. There was a notable drop in hot flashes, mood swings, sleep disturbances, and other issues associated with menopause. For instance, we observed a 48.15% decrease in hot flashes and a 45.0% decrease in depressive moods among participants.

Although the study did not isolate the effects of vitamin B6, it was part of a blend that appeared to contribute to overall symptom relief. This raises interesting questions about the role of vitamin B6 alongside other ingredients in managing menopausal discomfort effectively.

Overall, it seems that using Exelvit Menopause®, which contains vitamin B6 and several other beneficial ingredients, may help women navigate this stage of life with more ease and comfort.

Magnesium

7
Magnesium aids menopausal metabolism
We conducted a study to understand how magnesium, along with other supplements, could influence metabolic health during menopause. Our research involved 42 adult female rats that were either ovariectomized or kept as controls. We divided them into seven groups to assess the effects of various treatments, including magnesium, boric acid, vitamin D3, extra virgin olive oil, and combinations of these supplements.

The results were promising. We observed significant improvements in markers related to inflammation, oxidative stress, and various metabolic parameters when magnesium was included in the treatment plans. Interestingly, the rats receiving magnesium, especially as part of a combined treatment, showed better results than those given individual supplements. This suggests that magnesium could play a valuable role in supporting metabolic health during menopause.

However, it’s worth noting that while magnesium demonstrated beneficial effects, the comprehensive impact of each supplement used individually wasn’t singled out for analysis. Thus, while magnesium appears to contribute positively, we cannot decisively state its specific role in isolation. Overall, our findings hint at a promising therapeutic potential for magnesium in managing menopausal symptoms, particularly when used alongside other beneficial nutrients.

Calcium maltobionate supports bone health
We conducted a study to investigate how calcium maltobionate affects bone density in healthy Japanese women, particularly focusing on those who are pre- and post-menopausal. In a well-structured trial, 48 women aged between 30 and 69 were randomly divided into two groups: one received calcium maltobionate tablets while the other took a placebo designed to mimic the calcium content.

Over 24 weeks, we measured changes in facial and calcaneal bone density along with bone resorption markers. Our results indicated that facial bone mineral density declines more rapidly than that of other areas like the lumbar spine. Importantly, we observed that continuous intake of calcium maltobionate helped to slow down this decline in bone density for women in both menopausal stages, suggesting its potential role in osteoporosis prevention.

Overall, we found that facial bone mineral density may serve as an important indicator of bone health in middle-aged women. While our study highlights the beneficial aspects of calcium maltobionate, it’s essential to note that the individual effects of calcium itself could not be isolated from the compound used in the treatment.

Green tea may aid menopausal depression
We explored how long-term green tea consumption might impact postmenopausal women, especially in relation to their mental health. By studying 386 women from a tea-producing village, we compared those who regularly drank green tea with those who did not.

Our findings revealed that women who consumed green tea experienced lower levels of depression, reduced insomnia, and improved estradiol levels compared to the control group. We noticed that green tea may offer benefits by influencing sleep quality and reducing inflammation, which are both important for mental well-being.

Ultimately, it appears that sipping on green tea could be a helpful habit for postmenopausal women. These encouraging results suggest that incorporating green tea into daily routines may lessen the risk of depression during this significant life stage.

Myo-Inositol Support in Menopause
We investigated whether small extracellular vesicles (sEVs) derived from human palatine tonsil mesenchymal stem cells could boost myo-inositol levels in the context of menopause. This was particularly interesting given that menopausal women are prone to chronic inflammation due to physiological changes and related issues like metabolic syndrome.

To explore this, we treated mice with lipopolysaccharides (LPS) to simulate inflammation and assessed how the inclusion of T-MSC sEVs influenced myo-inositol production. After treatment, we measured levels of proteins involved in inositol synthesis in skeletal muscle and checked the serum for inositol levels.

Our findings are encouraging and suggest that T-MSC sEVs might help mitigate some effects of chronic inflammation linked to menopause. By supporting skeletal muscle mass and maintaining myo-inositol levels, these sEVs could be an effective strategy for improving metabolic health in menopausal women. This study sheds light on a potential new approach to tackle metabolic disturbances during this life stage.

Vitamin D critical for fracture prevention
We explored the relationship between serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D levels and the occurrence of new vertebral fractures in postmenopausal women who have undergone percutaneous vertebral augmentation. This retrospective case-control study gathered clinical data from women aged 50 and older, focusing on those who had experienced either new osteoporotic vertebral refractures or cascade fractures after their surgery.

Our findings revealed that low serum levels of vitamin D significantly heighten the risk of new vertebral fractures. By employing sophisticated analysis models, we were able to determine that vitamin D deficiency acts as an independent risk factor for these fractures. Therefore, it's apparent that ensuring adequate vitamin D levels, possibly through supplementation, could aid in preventing further complications post-surgery.

This study highlights the importance of monitoring vitamin D status in postmenopausal women, especially after procedures aimed at managing spinal fractures. With appropriate vitamin D supplementation, we can potentially improve outcomes and lower the risk of future osteoporotic fractures in this vulnerable population.

Zinc

We investigated the effects of dietary zinc on obesity related to menopause, particularly in female mice that underwent ovariectomy (Ovx). Our findings revealed that excess zinc led to significant weight gain and symptoms resembling Cushing's syndrome, even though these mice did not consume more food.

The accumulation of zinc in the adrenal glands played a crucial role by interfering with steroid production. This is particularly important since, in Ovx mice, adrenal steroids are the only source of estrogen. The lack of estrogen triggered adrenal hyperplasia and an increase in glucocorticoids, which contributed to the development of Cushing's-like symptoms.

Interestingly, our results showed that supplementing with adrenal steroids could counteract the negative impacts of excess zinc. We also found a positive correlation between plasma zinc levels and cortisol while noting a negative correlation with adrenal steroids and estrogen levels in overweight postmenopausal women.

These insights suggest that it may be beneficial for postmenopausal women to avoid high dietary zinc and consider adrenal steroid supplementation to help manage obesity effectively.

DHA linked to delayed menopause
We explored the impact of docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), a type of omega-3 fatty acid, on the timing of menopause. Utilizing a two-sample Mendelian randomization approach, we sought to determine whether DHA could influence female reproductive longevity by examining age at menarche and age at natural menopause.

Our study analyzed data from a large number of participants, including over 200,000 European women and nearly 44,000 East Asian women, to gauge the effects of plasma levels of various polyunsaturated fatty acids on reproductive milestones.

The findings revealed that higher levels of DHA in the blood are linked to a delayed onset of natural menopause, while they did not seem to influence the age of first menstruation. This suggests that DHA could be an important factor for women looking to extend their reproductive lifespan, providing a potential target for future health interventions.

Eicosapentaenoic acid and estradiol
We explored the relationship between eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) intake and estradiol levels in women, specifically focusing on its effects during menopause. The study utilized data from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey, which included dietary interviews and serum estradiol level measurements.

Our findings highlighted that higher intakes of EPA were associated with increased estradiol levels in both menopausal and non-menopausal women. Importantly, we noted that EPA intake above a certain threshold was linked to these hormonal changes.

This research suggests that incorporating more EPA into the diet could play a role in regulating estradiol levels, which is particularly beneficial for women's reproductive health during and after menopause. Understanding these connections helps emphasize the importance of nutrition in hormone regulation.

Enzymes

We explored the impact of coenzyme Q10 in a study aimed at managing dry eye disease in menopausal women undergoing antidepressant treatment. This was a thorough investigation involving sixty female participants with an average age of 63.25 years. In a double-blind, single-center setup, we compared eye drops containing crosslinked hyaluronic acid, coenzyme Q10, and vitamin E against a more traditional carmellose sodium formulation.

After two months of treatment, we discovered that the coenzyme Q10 formulation, while demonstrating positive trends, could not be isolated from other ingredients in terms of effects specifically related to menopausal symptoms. The scores from the ocular surface disease index indicated favorable results for both formulations, but we didn’t find significant advantages that could confidently highlight the standalone benefits of coenzyme Q10.

While we observed improvements in tear stability and subjective dry eye symptoms with the lower total daily dose of crosslinked hyaluronic acid eye drops, we need to acknowledge that it remains challenging to draw conclusive benefits specifically associated with coenzyme Q10 in the context of menopause.

With better skin texture and improved mood, I've noticed a distinct change compared to before starting DHEA. It has alleviated my symptoms associated with menopause and vulvovaginal atrophy. More research into its benefits would be worthwhile, as I consider it an extraordinary supplement that has improved my quality of life.

Calcium and vitamin D effects on bone
Our evaluation focused on how calcium combined with vitamin D influences bone health during menopause. We reviewed nine clinical trials and found that while vitamin D supplementation improved certain bone health markers, it didn’t significantly lower fracture risk for postmenopausal women without osteoporosis.

Notably, doses between 800 to 1000 IU paired with calcium showed some benefits in bone mineral density. However, higher doses didn't seem to prevent fractures. Thus, while these supplements enhanced vitamin D levels and some aspects of bone remodeling, the overall effect on fracture risk remains unclear.

Gorgeous calcium. My family and I take 2 capsules daily along with vitamin K2, ensuring calcium reaches our bones and teeth rather than soft tissues. Since starting, our nails have improved, and my teeth no longer react to sweets or temperature. I found this helpful, especially during menopause.

Iron

We looked into how iron levels affect cognitive performance in women experiencing menopause. Our research involved non-anemic women who had either low or normal iron levels for their age and background. They provided blood samples, underwent MRI scans to assess brain iron levels, and participated in cognitive tasks while we recorded their brain activity through EEG.

What we found was quite interesting. Higher iron status in these women was linked to better cognitive performance and improved brain activity. This included benefits associated with oxygen transport, which is crucial for brain function. However, we didn’t discover any direct connections between iron levels in the blood and the iron present in the brain.

Despite the lack of a clear relationship between systemic and brain iron, our findings suggest that addressing low iron levels during the menopausal transition may help reduce the cognitive struggles, often referred to as "brain fog," that many women experience during this time. So, while the study didn’t evaluate specific iron treatments, it opens the door to thinking about iron status as a factor worth considering for overall cognitive health in menopausal women.

I began taking this supplement as menopause caused significant dizziness, making it hard to get enough iron from meals. After two to three weeks, my dizziness has improved remarkably, and it has become infrequent. I plan to continue this regimen for a while.

Evening Primrose Oil

Evening primrose oil shows limited effectiveness
We explored the effects of evening primrose oil (EPO) as a treatment for menopausal hot flashes through a systematic review of various clinical trials.

While we found that EPO reduced the severity of hot flashes when taken for under six months, it did not significantly impact the frequency or duration compared to a placebo.

Some participants reported mild side effects like nausea and headaches, and EPO did not perform better than black cohosh in longer periods.

Ultimately, the evidence remains inconclusive regarding EPO's effectiveness for hot flashes, highlighting the need for further studies.

Super Primula has been my go-to for women's health since 1997. I recommend it for balancing hormones, easing menopause symptoms, and improving skin and health overall. The high gamma-linolenic acid content is vital for physiological processes, enhances immunity, and supports reproductive health. After long-term use, I've noticed rejuvenation, improved well-being, and restored menstrual cycles.

5 Htp

0
5-HTP ineffective for hot flashes
We aimed to find out how effective 5-hydroxytryptophan (5-HTP) is for reducing hot flashes in menopausal women.

In a double-blind study involving 24 postmenopausal participants, we divided the group to receive either 5-HTP or a placebo.

Unfortunately, our results showed no significant difference in hot flash frequency between the two groups after treatment.

Thus, it appears that 5-HTP at the tested dose does not effectively alleviate hot flashes, making further research necessary.

I have been using the Detox Programme daily for nearly two months. It works wonderfully as an antineoplastic, diuretic, and anti-inflammatory. A nutritionist friend recommended taking 5 in the morning and 5 in the evening. Thanks to this, the symptoms of menopause have finally subsided, particularly hot flashes, and it has regularised my cycle whilst normalising my hormonal balance! The only discomfort was that the tablets were tricky to swallow, but I learnt to wash them down with a large sip of water. Alfalfa can also be taken as an eubetic supper (5 alfalfa should be taken with RYAZHENKA) not KEFIR. I was pleased to find it helpful, put it 👍

I'm ready to restart using this superfood for my health and beauty. There were noticeable improvements in various areas: reduced hair loss, alleviated flatulence, and improved digestion. Most importantly, the symptoms of menopause significantly decreased. I take one tablet in the morning and another in the evening. However, the size of the tablets can be cumbersome for some, as they scratched my 88-year-old mother's throat.

My review will be of interest to women aged 45+ seeking support for their joints and bones. I bought this complex a couple of years ago on my doctor's advice. Initially, I attributed its positive effects to collagen, but I later realised my mistake. After purchasing a large jar of Bone-Up, I noticed a reduction in joint crunching and back pain within 2.5-3 weeks. This complex really works! The ingredients are impressive, including Calcium Hydroxyapatite, derived from bovine bone, alongside essential vitamins and minerals for better absorption. It serves as excellent support during menopause. I highly recommend it! I take 2 capsules daily with meals. If my review has helped, please give it a like! 👍 Cheers to happy shopping!😉

Olive leaf is excellent against bacterial and viral infections. This product includes Olive Leaf Extract (Olea europaea), standardised to a minimum of 6% oleuropein. I usually buy olive leaf from Swanson, which contains up to 20% oleuropein. I have taken it mainly in autumn and winter, but due to menopause this year, I require it in summer too. I experience excessive sweating at night and poor sleep. With olive leaf supplementation, I sweat less at night and my sleep improves.
