Bifidobacterium lactis alleviates constipation
We investigated the effects of Bifidobacterium lactis subsp. TG11 on loperamide-induced constipation in mice. The mice were grouped into control and treatment categories, receiving different doses of the probiotic.

After treatment, those receiving TG11 showed improved intestinal motility and maintained better fecal water content. Notably, the probiotic also positively affected gut microbiota, increasing beneficial bacteria and promoting short-chain fatty acid production.

Easy to administer for a child. My daughter had problems with constipation, especially when on antibiotics. I give her one every other day, and she’s now regular with her bowel movements. The chewable form is easy for her, and she has no issues with the taste, so it seems fine. We have been using this for over a year now.

This has been the only solution for my daughter’s constipation. Our almost 4-year-old had issues for over a year, relying on Miralax twice a day for regularity. After stopping it due to illness and using these instead, she has maintained regularity for nearly two weeks! These are like a little miracle for us. We’ve tried many brands, but she and my picky 6-year-old son take these without issue.

Works exceptionally well for ASD-related gastrointestinal issues. I usually buy my son the strawberry banana flavour, but this was cheaper. Initially, he didn’t like them, but he eventually enjoyed them. This brand is the only one that has successfully dealt with issues like stomach pains, gas, and constipation in my son, who is on the spectrum. He has even managed to come off them for some time since they helped significantly.

We investigated how a cultured milk drink containing Lactobacillus acidophilus affects symptoms of constipation in individuals with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS-C). Over 30 days, participants consumed the drink daily.

At the end of the study, an impressive 97.4% of IBS-C participants reported improvement in their constipation-related symptoms. Works brilliantly! I give this to my two children, aged 7 and 5. My younger one loves it, though my older one is picky but still takes it. They adore the watermelon flavour! There has been a significant change in both of them: no more constipation, gassiness, or bloating. After a month off for my 7-year-old, she became constipated and bloated again, realising the difference when she was taking it.

I’m so grateful we tried these! My daughter, now 7, struggled with stomach issues for over a year. We initially cut out some foods to check for allergies without success. The doctor suggested it was merely constipation. However, after a month on these, she hasn’t complained about stomach issues at all! No matter what she eats! She increased her water intake to 32oz a day and continues taking these.

We examined a well-structured study involving 94 healthy adults with functional constipation. Participants were randomly given either a multi-strain probiotic containing Lactobacillus acidophilus or a placebo over four weeks.

While both groups reported over 20% improvements in symptoms, the probiotic group experienced faster normalization of stool frequency and consistency. We observed a beneficial shift in gut bacteria towards a more fibrolytic microbiota in those receiving probiotics, although symptom differences between the groups were not significant.
