Probiotic improves IBS-C symptoms
We examined the effects of Lacticaseibacillus rhamnosus IDCC 3201 on patients suffering from irritable bowel syndrome with constipation (IBS-C). In a robust study involving 30 participants, we used a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled design.

BLa80 shows promise for constipation
We explored the impact of Bifidobacterium lactis BLa80 on constipation using mice that were induced with functional constipation through loperamide treatment. In our study, we compared BLa80 to a blank group and a positive control.

The results indicated that BLa80 improved intestinal movement, increased fecal moisture, and balanced gut bacteria. It also helped regulate important gut hormones. Overall, BLa80 shows promise as a potential new option for relieving constipation in functional foods.

Bifidobacterium lactis alleviates constipation
We investigated the effects of Bifidobacterium lactis subsp. TG11 on loperamide-induced constipation in mice. The mice were grouped into control and treatment categories, receiving different doses of the probiotic.

After treatment, those receiving TG11 showed improved intestinal motility and maintained better fecal water content. Notably, the probiotic also positively affected gut microbiota, increasing beneficial bacteria and promoting short-chain fatty acid production.

Overall, Bifidobacterium lactis TG11 appears effective in alleviating constipation, potentially by enhancing gut health.

Has made all the difference with my fourth pregnancy! I'm ending the first trimester and began taking this product around five weeks in because I had severe constipation during my last three pregnancies. This product has kept me regular, allowing easy bathroom visits daily! Although I'm not 100% yet, I feel markedly better this time, which I believe relates to gut health.

Must-have if pregnant!! I'm about to TMI.. I've always been very regular until I became pregnant over a month ago, when constipation hit hard! I usually ease into probiotics, taking them every other day for the first two weeks due to their strong effects, but I was desperate after days without relief. I began taking these every night, and within three days, I experienced good, healthy relief every morning. I've been using them for three weeks and couldn't be happier! Lactobacillus improves IBS-C symptoms
We investigated how a cultured milk drink containing Lactobacillus acidophilus affects symptoms of constipation in individuals with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS-C). Over 30 days, participants consumed the drink daily.

At the end of the study, an impressive 97.4% of IBS-C participants reported improvement in their constipation-related symptoms. We also noticed reductions in intestinal transit time and pro-inflammatory cytokines linked to IBS. Overall, this suggests that including this cultured milk drink may be a beneficial addition to IBS-C treatment plans.

Probiotics improve constipation symptoms
We conducted a randomized, placebo-controlled trial involving 92 children aged 4 to 12 with functional constipation. Over four weeks, we provided one group with a probiotic chewable tablet containing specific strains and compared their experiences to a placebo group.

The findings were promising; the probiotic group reported a significant improvement in stool frequency and a decrease in hard defecation. Specifically, hard stools decreased from 43% to 14%, while normal defecation increased from 56% to 80%. This study highlights the potential of probiotics as a valuable option for managing constipation in children.
We evaluated how lactobacillus acidophilus, both alone and in a mix with other bacteria, might relieve constipation caused by loperamide in rats. Over 14 days, we noticed that the groups receiving probiotics had significantly heavier and wetter stools compared to control animals.

Notably, the CKDBP group, a blend of multiple bacteria, showed the greatest improvement in intestinal transit. Measures like mucosal length and mucus secretion were also significantly enhanced in all probiotic-treated groups, highlighting their potential to alleviate constipation symptoms effectively.

Lactobacillus rhamnosus reduces constipation
We investigated the effects of Lactobacillus rhamnosus (LRJ-1) on constipation in mice. The study revealed that oral treatment with LRJ-1 led to significant improvements in constipation by increasing levels of a gut compound called γ-aminobutyric acid (GABA).

We also found that the beneficial impact of LRJ-1 was linked to the growth of specific intestinal bacteria and the activation of certain nerve pathways in the gut. While these findings are promising, they confirm the potential of LRJ-1 in addressing constipation through its influence on gut health.

I’m very pleased with this product! Constipation during pregnancy is common. As soon as I started taking these probiotics, the issue vanished. I noticed the results the very next day! They're straightforward to use and don’t require refrigeration, so they can be kept near the bed. The ideal time to take them is before bedtime on an empty stomach. I took it to prepare for childbirth. Yes, it’s a bit expensive, but it works! It has improved my stool, especially as I experienced constipation in the last trimester. I take iron as well, but with probiotics, my stool is much better. Highly recommend since it doesn’t need refrigeration!

I ordered this probiotic post-childbirth to restore my gastrointestinal health, as I faced significant issues. I took it at night with psyllium and noticed positive results within a week. No major symptom improvements noted
We examined a well-structured study involving 94 healthy adults with functional constipation. Participants were randomly given either a multi-strain probiotic containing Lactobacillus acidophilus or a placebo over four weeks.

While both groups reported over 20% improvements in symptoms, the probiotic group experienced faster normalization of stool frequency and consistency. We observed a beneficial shift in gut bacteria towards a more fibrolytic microbiota in those receiving probiotics, although symptom differences between the groups were not significant.

Probiotics ineffective for constipation
We conducted a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial involving 94 children under 5, all suffering from functional constipation. Participants received either Lactobacillus rhamnosus or a placebo for four weeks. While we observed some increase in bowel movements in both groups throughout the study, Lcr35 did not show significant effectiveness compared to the placebo. Overall, our findings suggest that using this specific probiotic alone is not an effective treatment for constipation in young children. It reinforces existing guidelines against probiotics for this issue.
We evaluated the impact of two probiotic formulations on functional constipation in adults. This study involved 30 days of daily consumption of oral sachets containing various strains of Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium.

While participants experienced improvements in stool frequency and quality, the differences between the treatment groups were not statistically significant. An isolated case of abdominal pain was the only adverse event noted. Overall, these probiotics showed potential but did not produce noteworthy differences across groups.
